#1. Candy. Do you prefer sweet or sour candy? You know I'm not much of a candy person and as I've got older, I like it even less. Good plain chocolate, yes. Candy - no, thank you.
#2. Gum. Love it? Hate it? What is your favorite? My mum and teachers always used to tell me that people who chewed gum looked like they were chewing the cud so I never liked it. Then of course there was the whole "stays in your stomach for 7 years" rumor. I'll occasionally chew on gum if I have no other means of cleaning my teeth after a strong meal but I can honestly say I have never blown a bubble.
#3. What is your favorite candy? Again, I'm not a big candy person so I guess I'd have to say Lindt Dark Chocolate Truffles and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups but they don't count. They're a food group!.
#4. Share a recipe for anything that you can include a piece of candy in. I don't cook with candy although I do have lots of recipes involving peanut butter cups that I need to try. I knew I could rely on Nigella Lawson though for a fabulously heart-attack inducing recipe from Nigella Bites
Deep Fried Bounties with Pineapple
2 liters of oil for frying (YIKES!!! I don't even own a deep fat fryer)
1 pineapple
150g self-rising flour
200 ml sparkling water
8 fun sized Bounty Bars
Heat the oil in a fat fryer to maximum heat.
Cut the top and bottom off the pineapple and quarter it vertically. Trim the woody core off each segment and lie it skin-side down. Slice the flesh in half lengthways, stopping when you feel the skin. (These are the kind of instructions I need to DO for them to make sense). Cut it across into slices and run the knife between the flesh and the outer husk.
Whisk 175 ml of the water into the flour the make the batter. Add more water if needed. Plunge the Bounties into the batter and then into the hot oil. Fry for 3 minutes until the batter is puffed and golden. Drain on kitchen towel and serve with pineapple.
She also admits to trying this with Creme Eggs and Dime Bars.

"Lindt Dark Chocolate Truffles and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups but they don't count. They're a food group!" Amen sister!
What is a Bounty bar, pray tell?
A Bounty bar is, as the ad used to say, "a taste of paradise" - a coconut filled chocolate bar.
I'm not sure I'm cool with this new trend of deep frying candy bars and Twinkies. Kinda skeeves me out.
Corrin - not something I'd do myself either. Then again I don't deep fry anything. But I do live in a part of the country where anything that can be fried will be fried!
Something about sweet and frying does make it sound like a heart attack waiting to happen. LOL
